Single Payment Scheme (SPS)

The Single Payment Scheme (SPS) is the principal agricultural subsidy scheme in the European Union.

The Single Payment Scheme (SPS) also sometimes referred to as the "Single Farm Payment" is an annual EU payment to farmers who maintain their land in accordance with Good Agricultural and Environmental Condition (GAEC) and Statutory Management Requirements (SMR's) which form the Single Payment Scheme's Cross Compliance.
