CMS UK Introduction

Established in 1996 CMS UK is an independent rural consultancy and energy auditing company, with national coverage across UK & Ireland; whose staff are experienced, reliable, professional, flexible and friendly.

Initially founded as a farm assurance business, the company diversified in 2002 to create a rural consultancy. This includes Renewable Energy and other projects including, Environmental Stewardship, Single Farm Payment and the Countryside Educational Visits Accreditation Scheme.

CMS UK's growth came as a result of working closely with clients to train and provide farm assessors, mainly for dairy and livestock farms.

Farm assurance assessments were carried out by CMS UK on almost 7000 dairy farms; approximately 5000 of which were inspected each year. In addition, farm assurance assessments were conducted on approximately 3500 beef and lamb farms.

CMS UK has expanded once more to offer a technical specialist consultancy on renewable energy generation and carbon management to all sectors of industry.

We specialise in providing a cost effective wind turbine planning service for farmers and land owners wishing to install a wind turbine on their farm to take advantage of the new 'Feed in Tariffs' for renewable energy projects. We also provide assistance with planning and grant applications to aid rural diversification.
